The Company started with a rented factory premises in the industrial zone in Ratmalana and by 1985, the company expanded the machine capacity in their very own premises with an infrastructure to include Production, Storage and a Distribution facility spanning over 70,000 square feet, in the Katuwana Industrial Zone in Homagama, and currently has a work force of 300+ employees.
We have a dedicated senior management team that brings our Vision and Mission to life, acting as true brand champions. Management and evolution of the Flora brand is influenced by the decision makers around us.

Measuring brand performance is an integral part of our brand management policy. The Company constantly measures brand performance by checking on market share, brand value, quality perception, brand awareness and brand price sensitivity.
As the market and user needs are continually changing in Sri Lanka, a dedicated team focussed on new product development is integral to our continued success. Working in close collaboration with our Quality Assurance team, we engage with our customers via periodic surveys and “Voice of the Customer” focus groups to test demand and end-user applications for new products.
We have recently expanded our product range in the “disposables” category, specialising in household and industrial kitchen items such as Aluminium Foil and Disposable Gloves under the brand name “KitchenMate by Flora”.
The brand benefits from strong loyalty from consumers who consider Flora Tissue products to be unique, hygienic and innovative. The brand’s core strength lies in providing consumers consistent quality products that build a strong bond and satisfy their needs, which is mirrored by our high market share.
We strive to attain excellence in all aspects of our operations, especially Quality. The constant focus on quality objectives has resulted in being the only Company in Sri Lanka to be recognised by the Sri Lanka Standards institution (SLSI) by their certification of the SLS mark for quality, and standardisation, in this product category:
